As per the product monograph for the product etonogestrel extended release subdermal implant, this training is intended to HCPs prior to performing insertion and/or removal of the product. Where appropriate, supervision should be requested prior to inserting or removing the implant.
Two components are required for successful completion of the program:
- A self-learning training component (approximately 1 to 1.5 hours). - A practical (hands on) training component (approximately 2 to 2.5 hours).
