Los procesos inflamatorios asociados podr\u00edan contribuir a la disfunci\u00f3n endotelial.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>En este estudio <strong>se compar\u00f3 la funci\u00f3n endotelial, la rigidez arterial y los niveles de AGEs<\/strong> (productos finales de glicaci\u00f3n avanzada) <strong>en pacientes con endometriosis y pacientes sanas <\/strong>como<strong> controles.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Se incluyeron un total de 45 mujeres entre 20 y 40 a\u00f1os de las cuales un grupo ten\u00eda endometriosis confirmada y sin evidencia de enfermedad cardiovascular. El grupo control fueron mujeres sanas coincidentes con el otro grupo en cuanto a IMC, edad y presi\u00f3n arterial.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tras la evaluaci\u00f3n de los factores objeto de estudio, se observ\u00f3 que<strong> la disfunci\u00f3n endotelial era m\u00e1s prevalente en mujeres con endometriosis en comparaci\u00f3n con el grupo control, <\/strong>as\u00ed como unos<strong> niveles de AGE mayores en estas pacientes. No hubo diferencias significativas en la rigidez arterial<\/strong>, expresada como <em>Augmentation Index<\/em> (AI).\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tanto la funci\u00f3n endotelial deteriorada como la mayor acumulaci\u00f3n de AGE son manifestaciones precl\u00ednicas bien establecidas para un mayor riesgo cardiovascular.
