{"id":9849,"date":"2022-04-14T12:44:28","date_gmt":"2022-04-14T12:44:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/organonpro.com\/en-us\/product\/ontruzant\/dosing-administration-2\/"},"modified":"2025-07-16T16:37:54","modified_gmt":"2025-07-16T16:37:54","slug":"dosing-administration","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/organonpro.com\/en-us\/product\/ontruzant\/dosing-administration\/","title":{"rendered":"Dosing With ONTRUZANT"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-ontruzant-same-dosing-and-administration-as-with-herceptin-trastuzumab\">ONTRUZANT (trastuzumab-dttb) is biosimilar to HERCEPTIN (trastuzumab) and has the same dosing and intravenous administration<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Prior to initiating ONTRUZANT:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Assess left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) and at regular intervals during treatment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Verify the pregnancy status of females of reproductive potential.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><br><strong>Recommended dosage<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>ONTRUZANT is for intravenous infusion only. Each carton contains one single-dose vial of ONTRUZANT.<\/td><td>NDC 78206-147-01<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>420 mg Multiple-dose vial<\/td><td>ONTRUZANT (trastuzumab-dttb) for injection 420 mg\/vial is supplied in a multiple-dose vial as a white to pale yellow lyophilized sterile powder, under vacuum. Each carton contains one multiple-dose vial of ONTRUZANT and one vial (20 mL) of Bacteriostatic Water for Injection (BWFI), USP, containing 1.1% benzyl alcohol as a preservative.<\/td><td>NDC 78206-148-01<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><br>For more information on ONTRUZANT, please contact us at 1-844-326-2986.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:29px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-important-dosing-considerations\">Important dosing considerations<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If the patient has missed a dose of ONTRUZANT by 1 week or less, then the usual maintenance dose (weekly schedule: 2 mg\/kg; once-every-three-weeks schedule: 6 mg\/kg) should be administered as soon as possible. Do not wait until the next planned cycle. Subsequent ONTRUZANT maintenance doses should be administered 7 days or 21 days later according to the weekly or once-every-three-weeks schedule, respectively.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If the patient has missed a dose of ONTRUZANT by more than 1 week, a reloading dose of ONTRUZANT should be administered over approximately 90 minutes (weekly schedule: 4 mg\/kg; once-every-three-weeks schedule: 8 mg\/kg) as soon as possible. Subsequent ONTRUZANT maintenance doses (weekly schedule: 2 mg\/kg; once-every-three-weeks schedule: 6 mg\/kg) should be administered 7 days or 21 days later according to the weekly or
